On Tuesday, July 29, 2025, (UNNES Electrical Engineering Students Research Group) proudly received a visit from two crucial figures in the world of research and technology, namely Prof. Dr. Ir. Imam Robandi, M.T., and Dr. Mohamad Almas Prakasa, S.T., M.T., IPU. This visit was a significant moment for the UEESRG team because it strengthened relationships and opened up opportunities to share knowledge and experience in technology development.
This visit was more than just a formal event, it was an opportunity to strengthen ties and engage in in-depth discussions between Prof. Imam Robandi and Prof. Subiyanto regarding research development in intelligent systems and renewable energy. Dr. Almas Prakasa, as a UEESRG alumnus who has achieved numerous international academic and research achievements, provided much inspiration for UEESRG students and young researchers to continue developing.
The visit began at the Rumah Ilmu (Science House) in the UNNES library, where Prof. Imam Robandi and Dr. Almas Prakasa were welcomed by Prof. Subiyanto, Dr. Almas Prakasa’s supervisor during his undergraduate studies at UNNES. They then visited the UNNES Greenhouse Eco Farm to observe one of UEESRG’s research projects in smart farming. This project is a concrete example of how technology can be applied to more efficient and sustainable agricultural solutions.
Following this, Prof. Imam Robandi and Dr. Almas Prakasa visited the UEESRG Smart Energy Center Research Laboratory, where various research projects on artificial intelligence and renewable energy are underway. Here, UEESRG students had the opportunity to discuss the challenges and opportunities in developing the latest technologies directly with experts.
This visit provided much motivation and inspiration for UEESRG students. Dr. Almas Prakasa, with his distinguished achievements, conveyed that success in research is not solely determined by intelligence, but also by a person’s ability to develop sound study strategies and work hard to achieve their goals. He also reminded students to continue innovating and not be afraid to face challenges.
Meanwhile, Prof. Imam Robandi delivered several meaningful messages for students and young researchers, including:
“Love local products, because by supporting them, we are participating in building the country’s economy.”
“Continue to learn and create. The world needs more young people ready to face challenges with innovation and knowledge.”
These messages inspire new enthusiasm among UEESRG students and young researchers to continue innovating and contributing to the research world.
The visit by Prof. Imam Robandi and Dr. Almas Prakasa to the UEESRG research laboratory provided much inspiration and new insights for all members of the UEESRG Team. This activity strengthened the relationship between academics and researchers and opened up opportunities for further collaboration in research and technology. Hopefully, this visit will be the beginning of many new opportunities for research and development in the fields of intelligent systems and renewable energy in the future.
